T TEST AND ONE-WAY REPEATED MEASURES ANOVA

Paired Samples menu selections: Dialog window for Paired Samples T test
Click button “Option” and make sure the following dialogue window information is present as confidence level 95%, exclude cases analysis by analysis radio button is checked. Then, click “Continue.”
Click “OK” and you’ll see the following output file pops out:
ONE-WAY REPEATED MEASURE ANOVA
Menu selections for Repeated Measures ANOVA using GLM
Select “ANALYZE” then “General Linear Model” then “Repeated Measures” (**If you have the wrong SPSS, you will not have this option.)
Defining Factor Name (Week)/ Number of Levels for Within S Factor (5). Then select “ADD”
Now select “DEFINE”
Identify variable names that correspond to levels of Within-S Factor.
You will move all 5 treatment conditions to the right (within-subjects variables)
Then click “Contrasts” button- a dialogue window pops up.
Under “Change Contrast,” select “Simple” for Contrast and select “First”.
THEN SELECT “CHANGE”
Then, click “Continue.”
Then click “Plots”.
Move factor 1 to the Horizontal Axis and select “ADD.”
Then, click “Continue.”
Then, click “Options.”
Move factor 1 to the right Display Means for
Check the desired “Display items.”
Then, click “Continue” to go back to the main dialogue screen.
Then, click “OK” to view the resulting outputs.
